To verify a provider's accreditation, start by asking for their registration numbers with relevant bodies—IOSH, CIEH, and Highfield all maintain publicly searchable registers on their websites. Check whether the specific course you need is listed under their accredited provision, as not all training from an accredited organisation covers every qualification type. You can also request their Ofsted rating if they work with apprenticeships, or ask to see copies of their certificates and client references. Verification matters considerably because it protects you legally; if an unaccredited provider delivers what should be a regulated qualification, that certificate may not satisfy your insurer, auditor, or enforcement officer in the event of an incident.
